I grew up in Tenino and am a couple of years younger than your dad, but the trip through the photos where I saw, Les Stanton, Don and David Ash, Fred Martin, your Dad Elmer (always one I looked up to - a real Hammer on the football team),others, and finally Coach Brock who taught me (unsuccessfully) baseball and basketball.

I am looking into the history of the real line at the moment, but information is a bit thin on the ground , however I did find a auction site that had a smashing plate on, which sold for £1100 ! This also brings in the link with Stanton iron works which opened in 1845 and used the line at this time.
